Slip Risk Management
Wherever a foot falls, there is the risk of a slip accident happening. This can not be eliminated, but it can be managed.
The first step is to assess the risk whether indoors or outdoors, is to have the surface Pendulum Tested in accordance with EN 16165:2021 - Annexe C (replacing BS 7976), and as recommended by the Health & Safety Authority of Ireland (HSA) .
6 Sources of Slips
#Flooring (e.g. Type, location, end use)
#Contaminants (e.g. grease, dust, bodyfat)
#Cleaning (e.g. Equipment, time)
#Environment (e.g. Weather, moss, lighting)
#People (e.g. Public, employees, training)
#Footwear ( Safety Shoe does not mean Anti-Slip)
